What's new with the A3?
Both the Premium and Premium Plus trim levels now feature more standard features and options. These new standard options include LED headlights and an optional LED interior lighting package. Further, you can upgrade the Audi A3 with the optional Convenience Package featuring a wireless smartphone charging pad.
Trim Levels
The new Audi A3 is offered in two trims for shoppers to consider. They include:
- Premium: The base premium trim features 17-inch wheels and a panoramic sunroof, allowing you to soak in the sunshine. In addition, the interior offers leather upholstery with power-adjustable heated front seats. The interior also features three-zone automatic climate control as well as keyless ignition.
- Premium Plus: With the Premium Plus trim, you get LED interior lighting and a wireless charging pad. The Premium Plus also adds Adaptive Cruise Control along with Lane Keeping Assistance to ensure you keep on the straight and narrow while driving on the highway. Plus, you can add an optional Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.
Design
The Audi A3 features a modern design that offers a sharp front facia along with nine color options for you to choose from. In addition, LED headlights give superior illumination for the road ahead that feature unique daytime running light signatures. Plus, you can add the Black Poetic package that features unique 18-inch wheels with black exterior accents to the new Audi A3, a more aggressive attitude.
Inside, the interior features a driver-centric design, placing vehicle controls within easy reach of you. The interior offers faux-suede upholstery and quilted seated surfaces with optional sports seats. Moreover, the interior offers available platinum gray inlays or optional birch wood inlays that come standard on the Audi A3 Premium Plus trim. The new Audi also offers a seating capacity for up to five occupants.
Performance
As standard, the Audi A3 features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 201 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The power is delivered through a seven-speed S Tronic transmission with manual mode. You can control the drive-through paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
You can also choose between two powertrain options: front-wheel drive and the legendary quattro all-wheel drive. You can alter the behavior of the Audi A3 with Audi Drive Select modes, including Comfort and Dynamic. The drive modes alter the steering settings, transmission, and throttle response.
Additionally, the optional Black Optic Sport package adds a sports suspension to deliver more refined handling if you are on a technical road.
Technology
You can utilize the MMI touchscreen display to access your favorite apps with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Further, the optional Virtual Cockpit Plus presents key driving information through a 12.3-inch high-definition display. You can utilize the optional Audi Connect to enhance your driving experience further.
Safety
Regarding safety, the Audi A3 features a wealth of safety technologies designed to keep you and your passengers safe. The Audi Pre-Sense front scans the road ahead and warns of potential hazards. The system will apply the brakes if a collision is imminent. Another highlighted feature is optional Adaptive Cruise Control, which keeps you at a pre-set distance to the vehicle in front along with Lane Keeping Assist centered in the lane.
